High Alert🚨When you get that notice of LICE in your child’s classroom‼️

I’m not taking any chances with my kids long thick hair. So I keep these on hand in case of worse case scenario- we have preventative lice repellent shampoo and hair mist to help protect and mitigate the spread— as well as foaming lice treatment in case we need to treat any active lice or nits. Luckily we are in the clear and just using the preventative stuff, but this mama is ready just in case!

It’s time to upgrade the kids bathroom! We swapped out the old shower head with a filtered rainfall shower head with RGB lights! The lights work when water is running through it, so there’s no electricity or battery required!

The RED 🔴 GREEN 🟢 BLUE 🔵 led lights indicate the temperature of the water! Red warns you that it’s red hot 🥵, green is just right, and blue is likely too cold 🥶.

This rainfall shower feels more luxurious but still fun, and the filter helps you have your best hair and skin health

The visual timer is one of my MVPs for adults and kids with ADHD. Visual timers are great for those who don’t know or can’t really picture what 10 minutes looks like. They’re a great classroom tool too, to help with time management, and so the kids stop asking “how much time until…” 😅

Visual timers are so helpful for us that we have several different ones. In various areas of the Home, they are good for timing showers, use in the kitchen, and for pacing out tasks.

For as long as I can remember, I had dry skin. No matter how frequently I applied lotion, I still struggled with bumpy arms! It’s that skin condition known as chicken skin or KP (Keratosis pilaris) for short. I’ve found that my skin needs a little extra support all the time, but especially during the shift between seasons.

Back to school season is in full swing! This is how I pack hot lunches for my kids to take to school. It is a great way for me to stretch the buck by turning leftovers into meals my kids get excited for because it feels like a warm hug.

These stainless steel meal containers are full sized, fit to hold a meal large for an adult or 4th grader! I’m much prefer these to the small round soup thermoses because the openings to those containers are so narrow and they don’t hold enough food to keep a first grader full. These large warm lunch containers come with a removable divider in case you want to have two separate components inside your hot lunchbox.

• heat water to boiling, use a hot water kettle to save time
• warm your hot lunch containers with the hot water
• heat food to piping hot (it will cool to a safe warm temperature)
• carefully empty the water and place hot food in your heated container

Caution ⚠️ Be careful when handling hot water. Don’t do this with any containers that are not safe for high temp / boiling 212 degrees. These stainless steel containers are what I trust with hot water and my children’s hot food. ♥️

Back to school season is in full swing! This fall my kids are going back with the same bento lunchboxes for the third year. These bento boxeshave a 2 year warranty and are going to last well beyond that.

Last year I got a set of spare lunch trays to save myself time - meal prep is easier when you can pack an extra set of lunches to be saved for the next day!

This year I added silicone sauce containers to help keep wet and dry ingredients better separated.

This bento box is well worth the investment because they come with a built in ice pack to keep food chilled until lunch time.

Gift idea 🎨 for artists of any age! I thought this would be just for my kids, but my inner artist loves a clean paint brush rinse cup. Watercolor paint colors show up much more vividly when you’re not rinsing the brush in mucky water.

There are no batteries or power required, just simply press the button to flush dirty paint water down and the reservoir automatically gets refilled with clean water!

This is great for kids teens and adult artists who can’t stand a messy paint rinse cup. This nifty gadget requires no power at all, just fill the tank with water and attach it to the brush cleaning reservoir. When you want to switch colors, clean the brush in the water well, then press the button on the side to release the dirty paint water and the water well automatically refills with clean water! Genius!

Wrapping my kids hand-me-down bike with special FX vinyl is one of my favorite labours of love. If you score a gently used bike, you can give it a new life by wrapping a bike in holographic or iridescent vinyl. I happen to have a friend with expertise in wrapping tricked out bikes, so I consulted them for best practices and to make sure I got all the tools I needed.

The top tips I can give you after completing this project are:
• take your time, you get the cleanest results by applying the wrap slowly and not trying to reposition it too much.
• you will need much more vinyl wrap than you think so get extra so you don’t fall short
• the sharpest cutting tool will give you a cleaner cut

Give your bicycle a makeover with the same type of vinyl wrap they used on cars! I wrapped my kid’s bike last year and it’s still looking fresh.

For my husband, I send a charcuterie snack box packed in a glass, bento box, I like the walls which help keep things in place. This is also handy for separating dry or crispy ingredients and wet/chilled ingredients.

For the kids, I double up and prepack the majority of their lunch trays, and add one extra component like a croissant or sandwich the morning of school. Their bento boxes are my favorite because there is a built-in ice pack tray. It keeps the cold right there as close to their food as possible, ensuring their lunch is served at a safe temperature. This is important because we are in hot, hot hot Texas.
