Kids Family Mom

Kid Stuff for elementary /preschool kids, moms and parents.

Our whole family needed new luggage 2 years ago for summer travel plans and they have held up for many road trips and flights!

Things I look for when choosing luggage :
CARRY-ON SIZE- I LOVE the versatility of carry-on sized bags because they’re great for long weekends and even week-long trips if you pack well 😉
LAPTOP/TABLET storage - a must for work trips and traveling anywhere with kids
BUILT-IN charging cables/space for power bank.
COMPARTMENTS- keep dirty and clean clothes separated - bonus if there’s a wet bag or compartment so shoes and other messy things can be stored neatly.
LIGHTWEIGHT AND SMOOTH SPINNING WHEELS - because we can’t stand to be weighed down while on the go (especially with kids in tow)
COLOR- a cute aesthetic, fun. I chose pink because it’s not a typical suitcase color, much easier to spot at baggage claim than a basic black/navy blue/red one.

I’ll also link the luggage the rest of the family is using because it has travelled all over with us! The hard sided spinner suitcases are great for the kids and my husband’s work travel needs.

Lunch kit // Bento lunchboxes with ice packs that snap into the lunch box shell make it simple to keep lunches chilled until kids school lunchtime.

My daughter came downstairs and was so excited to see the stainless steel lunch containers out on the kitchen counter. I absolutely love their enthusiasm for a hot lunch to bring to school.

Turning leftovers into lunch is a great way to stretch a buck! I just make extra of foods that reheat well, it turns into meals my kids get excited for because it feels like a warm hug.

These stainless steel meal containers are full sized, fit to hold a meal large enough for an adult or 5th grader! I much prefer these to the round soup thermoses because the opening to those containers are so narrow, and they don’t hold enough food to keep a first grader full. I can literally lay a slab of lasagna in it. They come with a removable divider in case you want to have two separate components inside your hot lunchbox.

• heat water to boiling, use a hot water kettle to save time
• warm your hot lunch containers with the hot water
• heat food to piping hot (it will cool to a safe warm temperature)
• carefully empty the water and place hot food in your heated container

Caution ⚠️ Be careful when handling hot water and hot foods! Don’t do this with any containers that are not safe for high temp / boiling 212 degrees. These stainless steel containers are what I use with hot water and my children’s hot food. ♥️

Back to school season is in full swing! This is how I pack hot lunches for my kids to take to school. It is a great way for me to stretch the buck by turning leftovers into meals my kids get excited for because it feels like a warm hug.

These stainless steel meal containers are full sized, fit to hold a meal large for an adult or 4th grader! I’m much prefer these to the small round soup thermoses because the openings to those containers are so narrow and they don’t hold enough food to keep a first grader full. These large warm lunch containers come with a removable divider in case you want to have two separate components inside your hot lunchbox.

• carefully empty the water and place hot food in your heated container

Caution ⚠️ Be careful when handling hot water. Don’t do this with any containers that are not safe for high temp / boiling 212 degrees. These stainless steel containers are what I trust with hot water and my children’s hot food. ♥️

The visual timer is one of my MVPs for adults and kids with ADHD. Visual timers are great for those who don’t know or can’t really picture what 10 minutes looks like. They’re a great classroom tool too, to help with time management, and so the kids stop asking “how much time until…” 😅

Visual timers are so helpful for us that we have several different ones. In various areas of the Home, they are good for timing showers, use in the kitchen, and for pacing out tasks.

My kids are back in school, and with the same bento lunchboxes for the third year! 💪🏽These bento boxes come with a 2 year warranty and are going to last well beyond that. The @bentgo chill box is well worth it because they come with a built in ice pack to keep food chilled until lunch time.

Last year, I got a set of spare covered lunch trays to save myself time. Meal prep is easier when you can pack an extra set of lunches at the same time, to be saved for the next day!

This year I added silicone sauce containers to help keep wet and dry ingredients separated within the lunchbox.

I also added some fun waterproof water bottle stickers to my bag so I can always easily identify it. Then I added bright colored durable metal luggage tags to each of our bags.

** I will also link the other luggage that we have, and brought along, but we’re not pictured in this video. We have, use and love them so they are worth mentioning.

If you are a pet parent with fur babies, listen up! It’s all in one grooming kit helps us manage all the shedding by brushing, detangling, de-shedding, de-matting…
You can even trim your dogs further with the clippers that are included. And there is a vacuum to suck up all the hair, so you don’t have to deal with the mess!

It literally does everything except bathe your dog for you! Once your puppy is clean, it even becomes a vacuum to dry their fur.

It is specifically made for pets, so the volume level is very low, ensuring that you’re not hurting your dogs ears, and the heat is just enough to get them dry without burning their skin. We love this, because it makes the whole dog grooming experience safe and stress-free for both of us!

Hank’s favorite toys, dog food storage container (gotta keep the kibble fresh!), and favorite pet grooming products. Okay, the dog shampoo and deodorizer products are OUR favorites because they keep him fresh! I’ve also linked our favorite pet hair removers, which do a great job of picking up pet hair

Mommy and me matching metallic pink boots? Yes please! These shiny cowgirl boots are perfect for Texas girlies. We wore them a western themed wedding, the rodeo and country music festival season.

I thought surely I’d need to replace/upgrade this wagon from all the wear and tear of two kids and nearly a decade later it is still trucking along! We are getting it ready for Girl Scout cookies season by getting our cookie wagon loaded up. Cannot wait to decorate it together, I am truly in all of how many trips, hauls and places the wagon has been

High Alert🚨When you get that notice of LICE in your child’s classroom‼️

I’m not taking any chances with my kids long thick hair. So I keep these on hand in case of worse case scenario- we have preventative lice repellent shampoo and hair mist to help protect and mitigate the spread— as well as foaming lice treatment in case we need to treat any active lice or nits. Luckily we are in the clear and just using the preventative stuff, but this mama is ready just in case!
