The visual timer is one of my MVPs for adults and kids with ADHD. Visual timers are great for those who don’t know or can’t really picture what 10 minutes looks like. They’re a great classroom tool too, to help with time management, and so the kids stop asking “how much time until…” 😅 Visual timers are so helpful for us that we have several different ones. I’m refreshing our home office space and had to grab the stick vacuum to pick up the mess a dropped dustpan made. This vacuum is lightweight enough that it can be used by every member of the family 😉 even the kids! It most often gets used by the kiddo we pay to vacuum up his pet’s hair, and does a good job for a small stick vac and the light helps you see all the dust to be picked up. Stop throwing your berries away! These produce storage containers are the real MVP. They keep our fruits, veggies, and lettuce lasting so much longer. I literally never have to throw berries away anymore! The best part is the fact that you can wash the grapes/etc first and the container is designed to keep your produce stored in the ideal environment. The storage container actually IS a strainer/colander itself (so you could also store straight from the store, then wash as needed, like I do for broccoli). There’s a snap-on tray at the bottom to add water, to help produce items that need it to maintain adequate humidity, and air vents on each end of the box allowing you the option to close off or encourage airflow, again catering to the needs of your produce items. There is no guess work involved in using these containers. Each lid has examples of items you would put inside (leafy greens, peppers, grapes, etc.), as well as exactly how to store the produce, are printed directly on the lid. The produce boxes are clear keeping everything visible, so the kids are encouraged to help themselves to fresh healthy snacks! Our whole family needed new luggage 2 years ago for summer travel plans and they have held up for many road trips and flights! Things I look for when choosing luggage : CARRY-ON SIZE- I LOVE the versatility of carry-on sized bags because they’re great for long weekends and even week-long trips if you pack well 😉 LAPTOP/TABLET storage - a must for work trips and traveling anywhere with kids BUILT-IN charging cables/space for power bank. COMPARTMENTS- keep dirty and clean clothes separated - bonus if there’s a wet bag or compartment so shoes and other messy things can be stored neatly. LIGHTWEIGHT AND SMOOTH SPINNING WHEELS - because we can’t stand to be weighed down while on the go (especially with kids in tow) COLOR- a cute aesthetic, fun. I chose pink because it’s not a typical suitcase color, much easier to spot at baggage claim than a basic black/navy blue/red one. I’ll also link the luggage the rest of the family is using because it has travelled all over with us! My daughter came downstairs and was so excited to see the stainless steel lunch containers out on the kitchen counter. I absolutely love their enthusiasm for a hot lunch to bring to school. Turning leftovers into lunch is a great way to stretch a buck! I just make extra of foods that reheat well, it turns into meals my kids get excited for because it feels like a warm hug. These stainless steel meal containers are full sized, fit to hold a meal large enough for an adult or 5th grader! I much prefer these to the round soup thermoses because the opening to those containers are so narrow, and they don’t hold enough food to keep a first grader full. I can literally lay a slab of lasagna in it. They come with a removable divider in case you want to have two separate components inside your hot lunchbox. • heat water to boiling, use a hot water kettle to save time • warm your hot lunch containers with the hot water • heat food to piping hot (it will cool to a safe warm temperature) • carefully empty the water and place hot food in your heated container Caution ⚠️ Be careful when handling hot water and hot foods! Don’t do this with any containers that are not safe for high temp / boiling 212 degrees. Day in my life // I’m my own nail lady. Brand new soft gel manicure for today with these red French tips and cuticle oil to keep things looking fresh. Everything you need to put on these nails is included in the kit, even if you did not have any tools. The kit comes with the nails, adhesive, top coat, and a small light to cure the glue and top coat. I preferred to use a full size nail lamp, however, so I used my own. There are five colors included in the kit, and there are full sets of each color. You can apply them all together or mix and match across the colors. One way to feed a family for less? 🍚 RICE. You can do just about anything with it, and I like to buy in bulk to get the best jasmine rice available to have on hand all season long. In order to keep the rice, fresh and flavorful, I recommend storing it in a container like this which has rubber seals to help keep air out and a convenient fliptop so you can easily scoop from the container.
