Lunchboxes

By SemiCrunchyAlwaysExtra

Kids lunch boxes, insulated lunch kits, hot lunchbox school meals. Meal prep food storage containers

On weekday mornings my kids always get excited so excited to see the stainless steel lunch containers out on the kitchen counter. That means they’re having a hot homemade lunch at school. I absolutely love their enthusiasm for a warm meal to bring to school.

Turning leftovers into lunch is a great way to stretch a buck! I just make extra of foods that reheat well. Leftovers turn into meals my kids get excited for because it feels like a warm hug.

These stainless steel meal containers are full sized, fit to hold a meal large enough for an adult or 5th grader! I much prefer these to round soup thermoses because the opening to those containers are always so narrow, and they don’t hold enough food to keep a first grader full. I can literally lay a slab of lasagna in our rectangular lunchboxes. They also come with a removable divider in case you want to have two separate components inside your hot lunchbox.

• heat water to boiling, use a hot water kettle to save time
• warm your hot lunch containers with the hot water
• heat food to piping hot (it will cool to a safe warm temperature)
• carefully empty the water and place hot food in your heated container

Caution ⚠️ Be careful when handling hot water and hot foods! Don’t do this with any containers that are not safe for high temp / boiling 212 degrees. These stainless steel containers are what I use with hot water and my children’s hot food. ♥️

Lunch kit // Bento lunchboxes with ice packs that snap into the lunch box shell make it simple to keep lunches chilled until kids school lunchtime.

Snack bento boxes keep my family of 4 fed throughout the summer and school year. Meal prep and pack these portioned glass food storage containers for the week. Cleanup is easy since the glass dishes are dishwasher safe

I like to go with a charcuterie theme with cheese, salami, fruits and berries. I also add some hummus or tzatziki for protein. The divided sections help keep ingredients separated so you can plan meals ahead of time and keep ingredients fresh where you can see them!

For back to school, I’m planning on saving money by packing lunch boxes as often as possible rather than opting for cafeteria lunch. My kids add on too many extra$$ so it’s best to bring lunch and make it exciting!

We love filling bento boxes with healthy snacks, fruits, cheese, etc. my kids especially love berries! Our clear produce containers keep strawberries, cherries, grapes, blueberries, and even cut fruits fresher longer.

NO MORE MOLDY BERRIES! Check out these berries I had stocked up on when on sale- they lasted a whole week absolutely looking perfect.

The containers are clear so my kids can can see exactly what’s in the fridge, and that encourages them to eat more of the fresh stuff! They’re stackable so our family’s fridge stays a bit better organized too.

Back to school season is in full swing! This is how I pack hot lunches for my kids to take to school. It is a great way for me to stretch the buck by turning leftovers into meals my kids get excited for because it feels like a warm hug.

These stainless steel meal containers are full sized, fit to hold a meal large for an adult or 4th grader! I’m much prefer these to the small round soup thermoses because the openings to those containers are so narrow and they don’t hold enough food to keep a first grader full. These large warm lunch containers come with a removable divider in case you want to have two separate components inside your hot lunchbox.

This cherry pitter is a produce must have. 🍒 you can remove the pit from up to 6 cherries at once!

These produce storage containers are the real MVP among the many kitchen goods I’ve tried. They keep our fruits, veggies, and salad fresh longer.

Stop throwing your berries away! These produce storage containers are the real MVP among the many kitchen goods I’ve tried. They keep our fruits, veggies, and salad lasting so much longer! I literally never have to throw berries away anymore. I have recommended these so many times, but have never really explained exactly how they work so well.

The best part is the fact that you can wash the grapes/etc first and the container is designed to keep your produce stored in the ideal environment. The storage container actually IS a strainer/colander itself (so you could also store straight from the store, then wash as needed, like I do for broccoli). There’s a snap-on tray at the bottom to add water, to help produce items that need it to maintain adequate humidity, and air vents on each end of the box allowing you the option to close off or encourage airflow, again catering to the needs of your produce items.

I love that there is no guess work involved in using these containers. Each container has examples of items you would put inside (leafy greens, peppers, grapes, etc.), as well as exactly how to store them, are printed directly on the lid.

These are clear for keeping everything visible, so the kids are encouraged to help themselves to fresh healthy snacks! Having everything accessible and ready to eat is a game changer, and reduces food waste. These containers are my favorites hands down and will always have a spot on my LTK if you need them.🫐🍓🍇🍒

Gotta give our produce keepers a shout out! There’s produce storage containers and there’s these. They help keep lettuce crisper longer, grapes last for weeks, and we NEVER throw away moldy berries anymore!
