Sabbath and Baking
Every Friday night and Saturday we celebrate sabbath as a family. I look forward to this as a special time to focus on the Lord as a family, rest and recharge. It's a blessing for us and our children. Last weekend I batch baked muffins, bread and a cake. We had frozen pizza and salad for dinner. Our daughter officially finished 2nd grade homeschool co-op yesterday ❤️
Yesterday we celebrated our daughter finishing her 2nd grade homeschool co-op year.
This year was full of reading, projects, friendships, field trips, growth, and so many beautiful moments I never want to forget.
Watching her confidence grow has been one of the greatest gifts as a mother.
And our 4-year-old had such a sweet year too with preschool learning, library storytime, crafts, and learning through everyday life.
We'll still be homeschooling through the summer because learning is part of our family lifestyle, but today we're pausing to celebrate how hard our girls worked this year

I love this bright pink nail polish from Essie. It's been relaxing for me to paint my nails at home, as well as, out on my mommy self care days. In these photos I painted my nails at Target in the Starbucks. There is something so satisfying as a mom to take time to decompress, relax and do restful activities like painting my nails in an environment outside of home. I do love getting my nails professionally done too, but practicing keeping a nice manicure and pedicure is a wonderful self care activity for me in this season. I love this shade 230 pencil me in.

My mommy self care day

I love recharging my batteries after a long week of caring for family and home.

I ate hibachi, got a foot massage, relaxed and shopped
leisurely, read books and magazines, drank coffee and painted my nails.

These activities are relaxing for me and allow me to pour back into myself after giving to my husband, children and home.

I think all moms need daily, weekly, monthly and even annual breaks from home and family life to operate and serve well.
