#blackhistorymonth is not only the perfect time to reflect on the many trailblazers who have blessed our nation with their intellect, resilience, and grace, but a time to appreciate those who are currently fighting less visible battles and sharing their creativity.

I was very excited to see that @walmart had a new collaboration with @anwarcarrotsjp 🥕 This collection centers around the idea of the family homestead and translating that into fashion, an idea that I feel isn’t typically as represented by black figures. I was so happy to see that these amazing pieces are easily accessible, well-made, and allow the designer to tell a unique story of growing and living.

My sons love their new sweatshirts. They both said they’re so comfortable and their new favorites. I love being able to teach them about current Black figures who are making an impact, all while wearing quality, affordable fashion.
