Let’s talk about my shoe choice today while walking and shopping around NYC. I recently purchased Juicy Couture faux leather loafers in a women’s size 8. Before wearing them out, I tested them at home for a day—with one adjustment: wear socks.    Fast forward to today: I wore socks, wore the loafers for four hours, and ended up with open sores on the backs of my heels. Ouch. I won’t be wearing these again without thick socks at the very least, and possibly even band-aids.    Here’s my take: the shoe itself is sturdy but slightly loose (it doesn’t grip your foot), and the insert/footbed is soft—almost memory foam-like. However, after four hours, I found myself shuffling to avoid the backs of my heels touching the shoes. Not ideal.    My rating? **3/10** for long walks.
