Reading Month classroom craft idea | Marshmallow Beekle craft | The Adventures of Beekle kids book activity I was the mystery reader for my son’s 1st grade class and read The Adventures of Beekle, such a sweet children’s book about friendship. We made marshmallow Beekles to go with the story and the kids loved it. This was the perfect quick and easy classroom craft for Reading Month and worked great for a mystery reader activity. Supplies needed: • large marshmallow • 4 mini marshmallows • 2 toothpicks • construction paper square • glue stick • scissors • black Sharpie marker for the face The kids got creative with Beekle’s crowns and faces and it was so fun to see their personalities come out. Best part — 24 first graders made them in under 10 minutes. Such a fun idea for Reading Month activities, mystery reader classroom ideas, elementary classroom crafts, and kids book activities. FLX Tricot Half Zip Jacket from Kohl’s — lightweight spring activewear layer.

This jacket has been such a good find. It’s part of the Kohl’s activewear FLX line and the fabric is breathable with comfortable stretch, making it an easy layer for runs, walks, or everyday mom life.

The half zip goes low enough that it’s actually nursing-friendly right now, which has been really helpful postpartum. I also love the little details like elastic cuffs, front pockets, and the adjustable drawcord hem that give it a more elevated look than a typical workout jacket.

I grabbed the Modern White because it looks so clean for spring… but still deciding if bright white is realistic when you live with three boys.
