Reading Month classroom craft idea | Marshmallow Beekle craft | The Adventures of Beekle kids book activity I was the mystery reader for my son’s 1st grade class and read The Adventures of Beekle, such a sweet children’s book about friendship. We made marshmallow Beekles to go with the story and the kids loved it. This was the perfect quick and easy classroom craft for Reading Month and worked great for a mystery reader activity. Supplies needed: • large marshmallow • 4 mini marshmallows • 2 toothpicks • construction paper square • glue stick • scissors • black Sharpie marker for the face The kids got creative with Beekle’s crowns and faces and it was so fun to see their personalities come out. Best part — 24 first graders made them in under 10 minutes. Such a fun idea for Reading Month activities, mystery reader classroom ideas, elementary classroom crafts, and kids book activities.
