I USED TO WEART THIS IN MY EARLY 40s! The 1st outfit gives me no shape imo because my waist is not enhanced at all. The stripes make me look bigger than I am. The jewelry also feels very outdated. Personally I would not wear this combination anymore. If you like it: that is totally OK. Everyone should wear whatever they want and what flatters their own bodies.
The 2nd outfit emphasizes my waist which I personally prefer. I love this adorable soft and airy 100% cotton wrap dress. It feels effortless elegant. It has an elasticated back waistband, is fully lined and it has front pockets! I’m wearing size M. I’m 5‘7“.

🛒You can’t wear this to go to the grocery store? YES, you can! I find that paired with flats almost all my outfits are OK to wear to go to the grocery store or to run errands. And C’mon this outfit was under $35, no need to keep it for “special occasions”.

I know for sure some of you will like this 1st outfit and that is totally OK!!! You do you! For me personally I would not wear the 1st outfit anymore. I think the empire waist top is not flattering on my body shape- it is dragging me down and gives me no shape. The capris make my legs look shorter. In the 2nd outfit I am wearing a fitted tank with wide leg linen pants which enhances my waist- much more flattering on me and it feels more modern to me. What do you think?
