😳TESTING a $10 foundation vs a $52 foundation on 50 year old skin!
You know what? The Estée Lauder Double Wear used to be my HOLY GRAIL FOUNDATION for many years and I was bummed when they recently reformulated it, so on a whim I bought the L'Oreal True Match and now I am thinking: why did I spend so much money all these years when a $10 foundation is doing the exact same thing? I even like it a little bit more because it is thinner and applies easier. I also found an exact color match (Estée Lauder 4C1 is a perfect match to the L'Oreal C5- a cool medium with rosy undertones)!

So happy about my find! Medium buildable coverage, looks natural, does not enhance wrinkles or pores and gives a semi-matte finish- neither too matte nor too dewy. It even contains Hyaluronic Acid. It comes in 47 shades! I highly recommend!!!

10 years Bodypump NO results …

UNTIL I CHANGED THIS!

✅I pretend this class is my personal training session and the instructor is my personal trainer. I listen carefully and do everything she says.

✅I don’t waste time cleaning up my things, putting equipment away we no longer need etc or looking up my phone in between tracks, but focus to do every rep, every move! I’ll clean up after the class- not in between!

✅I write down the date and which weights I used for which track and I increase my weights when I’m ready! You need progressive overload- if you keep using 5lbs for your biceps forever you won’t see any changes!!! Keep adding weights!!! Push yourself!!! You are strong! You can do this!

✅I don’t do easier options but always push myself to do the most difficult option (real push-ups up instead on knees, triceps bench push ups close to bench and not leaning back etc). I’m here for myself and I give it 100%! I’m doing this for me and if I cheat, I cheat myself and wasted time!

✅I push myself to do all the real push-ups because I know it won’t be many. I tell myself:“Do it! You can do it, it’s just a couple more! Just do it!!! You are strong!” It’s a mind thing! Strong mind, strong body!

✅Of course I also eat 140-165g protein/day! Very important to grow muscle!

❌I NEVER walk 10,000 steps per day! Look, if 10,000 steps feel like the motivation you need and it’s working for you, by all means keep doing it! I’m just telling you that I personally don’t do it and yet I’m fitter, stronger and healthier than I was in my 30s! There is not just one right way. Everyone should do whatever feels right for them!

Here’s what I do instead!
✅ 3x/week I go to Bodypump by Les Mills (a barbell workout that trains chest, back, biceps, triceps, shoulders, and legs—using moves like squats, deadlifts, and presses. I love that class so much and highly recommend it!

✅After my class I use a couple machines for about 30 -40 minutes, specifically I do currently the following:
1. Squats 75lbs/10x4 reps
2. Glutes bridge machine 55lbs/10x4
3. Leg rope extension 90 lbs/10x3
4. Leg press machine 55lbs/10x4
5. Hip adductor 230lbs/10x4
6. Hip abductor 210lbs/ 10x4

✅The other 4 days of the week I swim for 35-45 minutes at easy-moderate pace (breaststroke around 1000m). During winter I walk 2.6 miles (that’s maybe 6000-7000 steps but definitely not 10,000!)

So, usually I workout everyday- either I’m at the gym or pool (or walk) but I also might sometimes skip 1 day per week and have no workout at all if I’m not feeling it. Rest is important too and can be great for muscle recovery! Just sharing what works for me! You do you!!! 💪🏽 Follow @sissi_the_german for more tips!
