Have you heard of one bag travel? It’s a minimalist packing technique where you fit all your items for a trip in just one smallish bag, often a carry-on size or a backpack. I’ve been doing a lot of research around minimalist packing for our upcoming trip to Europe and have realized that for our situation, with many transfers via plane, train and car it just makes sense that we pack as light as possible. In my attempt to pack (very) light, I’ve been test packing and trying out different bags to see how much I can fit. After much trial and error, I’ve decided that I’m going to go with the 35L Travel Backpack from Open Story at Target. I’ve already purchased two (one for me and my husband) and have test packed each of us to make sure it will fit our requirements. I’m happy to say that this bag is well-constructed, comfortable to wear, and has capacity for carrying a good amount of clothing. In fact the inside pocket reminds me a lot of a small carry on suitcase! Here’s my packing list for a 12 day trip - knowing that I will have to do some laundry at the hotels/Airbnb: - 5 shirts, mix of short and long sleeve - 5 pairs of underware - 5 pairs of socks - 2 pairs of jeans - 1 sweater - 1 packable puffer jacket - 1 pair of leggings - 1 pajama set - 1 swim suit - 1 pair of flip flops Have you ever successfully packed for a trip in one bag? Let me know if you have any tips (or suggestions on things I might be missing!) LTKfindsunder50 LTKtravel
