This Spring brings a soft, relaxed elegance with classic foundational pieces like trench coats, denim jackets and supple leather, but with a little more personality for everyday wear with the additions of fringe details, scarf layering and unique brooches and belts. Let’s be honest, we barely have time to pick out an outfit in the morning, let alone figure out how to incorporate this scarf trend!
Don’t worry! The idea behind the scarf is to look like you just “threw it on” (even if you didn’t)!
Showing you three ways to style a scarf with a leather jacket and cashmere sweater, but you can easily swap out the jacket for a blazer or trench! I just happen to like this Camilla floral print scarf balanced with a structured leather jacket.
▪️Around the neck: the most obvious and easiest to pull off! Depending on the length of the scarf, you can loop it twice and tie or just once in the back. Honestly, the less symmetrical the better!
▪️Off the shoulder: I love this for a lunch/dinner or event. It’s realistically difficult to keep in place for everyday movement, but when intentionally worn for a “look”, it makes a statement.
▪️Around the waist: this trend started last summer and is sti going strong! It adds a layer and interest to any outfit! Roll the scarf so it has less fabric and wears more like a longer belt than a skirt (we don’t want that!).
Finish off your look with an oversized pair of aviators! 😎
