Wearing ZARA Jacquard coat in size M/L.
White poplin pants by SOEUR, wearing size 38. Tank by HENNE. Celine Disc & Edge sunglasses. Magda Butrym silk pouch.
Wearing BONDI APPAREL jeans in size 26 (older collection). Second Female black maxi coat. ZARA cropped blazer. RAEY & OTHER STORIES windbreakers. ZARA white bodysuit size MEDIUM. White LESET tee in size SMALL Jude mules. The Row mesh flats. Phoebe Philo pumps. Bright red COS jumper (old). Vintage blazers.
The Loafer Jean Theory.

Simple realization, big payoff: sometimes the easiest jean to style is just the one with the right hem.

Not cropped. Not puddling. Just that ankle-length hem that lets the shoe breathe.

Loafers, pumps, flats, ankle boots, almost every shoe gets a chance.

Testing new silhouettes. Consider this a public beta. Experimenting with pedal pushers (on a 50+ body they're either genius or deeply suspicious), plus cargos and fluid pants. Stress-testing proportions to see what makes the cut.

What if the midi skirt is just… jeans with better posture?

I started styling it like pants and the "too proper" problem disappeared. It stops being pretty and starts being useful.

It’s basically a ladder: flip-flops → boots → flats → heels. Same skirt, different level of seriousness. The shoe and the top layer set the mood.

If you want the breakdown, it's all in my bio: Substack for the logic, Spring Stylebook for the formulas, ShopMy for links. 💣

Casual, but not styled casually.

This is how I’m wearing slouchy trousers right now, simple base, intentional detail.

A statement top with flats.
A brooch pinned low on the trousers.
A skater tee with an oversized silver cuff.
A sweatshirt with statement earrings.
A bodysuit with the sweatshirt as the accent, not the anchor.

That tension is the whole point. Ease against intention. Slouch against sparkle.

These looks are now in the Stylebook. If you already have it, refresh your link. If not, comment SPRING.

Victoria was right. The tuxedo blazer is a power anchor. Instant edit, simple base, done.

Denim, tailoring, texture, evening. The range is the point.

How I make an everyday outfit look sharper without making my life complicated:
I wear the good jeans again. If they’re working, I’m not retiring them.

This time I paired them with a kitten heel - the length still passes. The @jacquemus short-sleeve knit is basically made for in-between weather: built-in shape from shoulder pads, so it holds its own even without a blazer.

Then I add the tailored blazer (vintage) and a statement brooch and the whole thing snaps into focus. A simple base but now it reads sharper… more deliberate… less “I threw this on.”

That’s the formula: start simple, add one strong detail, let it make the point.

I'm particular about hemlines. Usually I go longer, longer, longer... but that length needs a heel. With these western style boots and flare jeans, the proportion shifts. The hem hits just above the boot so you actually see it. Shorter than my usual, but it works for this silhouette.

Proportion can break or make the outfit. This is the proportion that works here.
Everything else is minimal. White tee, structured blazer, one gold necklace with a touch of red. That necklace is the only punctuation.

And the bag...my favorite slouchy of the moment - small by design, big on purpose @poelle_atelier 👌🏽

Confession: I was a trench skeptic. Not because I hate classics, but because most of them felt too decided.

This one by @raeyofficial made sense. It has a point of view, but it still works with real life. Clean line, modern proportion, and it actually works with my wardrobe. Open, belted, layered - it finishes without taking over.

Comment TRENCH and I'll send you the full breakdown- all six formulas plus links to every piece.

Dressing for the life I actually have because fantasy dressing is a trap. It’s how you end up with a closet full of "someday" pieces and nothing for a cold Tuesday.

Prioritizing the reality: staying warm, moving fast, and keeping the composition sharp. If it doesn’t work for the walk, the weather, and the pace, it doesn’t belong in the edit.

And since I’m tired of beanies for the moment, the scarf game has to be twice as strong. Slavic grit for the gloom but make it cashmere:)⚡️

"Good Pieces" Rule ⚡️The power of having a closet you actually trust: you can just grab and go. No bs required. #styleover50 #over50 #satinbomber #isabelmarant #alaia
Just a go-to weekend formula I never get tired of - vintage jeans, skater tee, "welness" sneakers, and an oversized coat...this weekend - my new coveted trench. Then, just a little touch of energy - a red beanie or a sweatshirt thrown over the shoulders - to take it from blended‑in to noticed. Casual doesn’t have to be invisible. Just thoughtfully easy. ♥️

Coat note: My first-ever trench @raeyofficial sourced via @curateandrotate - not the classic cut, but a timeless statement in its own way. Acquired recently and am already planning all the ways to wear it.

Not posting these like, “hey, look what I got.” I’m sharing for discernment... to share the logic, intention, and clarity behind what I choose to bring into my wardrobe.

None of this is random. These pieces were thought through, compared, and chosen to work hard.

Here’s what made the cut (and why):

• Tailored trousers @wardrobe.nyc
Especially in black, a good pair you can rely on is gold. They sharpen anything — even when you're out of ideas.

• Leather jacket @sandroparis
Long, oversized, and layered with edge. It brings shape, texture, and function — and replaced a few jackets I never wore.

• City sneakers @asics
London broke my feet. These are what I call a life purchase - cushioned, functional, and still sharp enough to style.

• Chunky knit @reformation
Warm, versatile, and always on standby. (See my previous reel for outfit ideas in this knit. Worth a scroll:)

You don't need these exact pieces, but if anything caught your eye, comment LiNK.

One dominant knit. Multiple looks. Minimal thought required.

This is why I invest in staples that do the work. A heavyweight crew like this anchors my winter wardrobe... I wear it styled up, down, and everything in between.

No need to crowd your closet. One solid knit can outwork twenty throwaways.

If you’re inclined to shop for one, comment LINK and I’ll send you this exact one - plus a few others I found while doing my market research:)

Will also be adding these crew neck formulas into the Fall/Winter Stylebook stat.

Holiday Dressing at 50+

A few pieces that do both: festive enough for a holiday moment, timeless enough for the rest of the year. These are on repeat in my own wardrobe. LESET pants - wearing size SMALL

Ground control to Major Sparkle. The sparkle stays; the cliché goes. I’m not saving shine for 8 PM. Daytime sequins work when the message is grown-up: maximal texture, minimal noise; tonal color; weight where it counts. Not an everyday uniform...some days just want mischief.
Style Tip: The 3S Rule to Ground Sequins: Shine + Soft + Substantial. One shiny piece. One soft, matte neutral. (I prefer a knit, flannel or a jersey). One shoe with weight - western, loafer or a block heel. (Stilettos push it into party territory.) Optional: keep it tonal.

Save for “holiday, not cliché.”

Masculine energy. Feminine control. Let’s go...

This outfit plays with structure, softness, and contrast - a masculine base (slouchy wool pants, Oxfords, a strong coat) filtered through a feminine POV.

It looks simple, but the details carry the vibe: a chain belt, brown wool socks peeking from shiny black shoes, and the fuzz of the coat softening all that tailoring.

It’s the kind of outfit that lands...if you like a bit of plaid:)

📍Style Tip: When the shapes are big or bold, balance them with quiet texture. Cozy socks. A soft shirt (plaid works, but so would a monochrome silk). Just something to break the structure... without disrupting it.

Because I’ve stopped chasing one-night outfits.

I’ve been on the hunt for something that works tonight... and next year.
This velvet tux look from Mint Velvet is just that: timeless tailoring with a touch of glam.
The trousers and satin-trim blazer give structure, the camisole adds softness, and the pearl earrings bring that perfect flash of light-catching drama.

It’s minimal, but not quiet. Sɛxy, but still sharp.
And most importantly... it’s the kind of look that doesn’t expire after one night out.

If you’re building a wardrobe with longevity, this is one of those pieces you’ll keep rotating, remixing... and reaching for without overthinking.

Yeah, rocking baggy...Till further notice. It's minimal. It's styled. And I'm slightly obsessed:)

Lately, I’ve been leaning on a simple formula: baggy jeans, fitted top, pointy-toe boots. That’s been one of my uniforms. Comfortable, sharp, no fuss.

I wanted something roomy but still put-together. Fitted where it counts, wide where it moves. One sharp belt to break it up, then structure on top - either cropped or longline, depending on the mood.

Simple outfit. Strong pieces. Oversized plaid shirt. Leather pants. Pointy heels for that extra stretch. Nothing tight, nothing fussy. Just bold pieces with room to move.

I’d been hunting for a plaid shirt that felt elevated and this one just nailed it. The weight, the structure, the colors... it wears almost like outerwear.

It’s seasonless and it’s staying in rotation for the long haul. I can wear it with leggings, jeans, pencil skirts, leather trousers... it just works across the board. Throw on a coat or a blazer and it still holds everything together.

This is one of those pieces I come back to again and again. Because that’s how I build my wardrobe. It has to work more than one way.

Lately, I’ve been wearing silk/satin pants on repeat. I feel they add just the right softness, a little ease and elegance, especially as the rest of the wardrobe gets heavier for fall.

Today, it’s all black. No distractions. Just shine, texture, and structure in the right places.

This look really is about restraint. Satin pants with a simple top, a tailored coat, and a gold pendant necklace that catches the eye. That’s my favorite way of styling. One strong detail that takes it from minimal to intentional.
Another one from my 10 Killer Outfits edit. The idea? You only need a certain number of outfits per season. Make them exceptional. Make them intentional. Make them easy. Make them you.

You’ll find this formula and more in my Fall to Winter StyleBook... it’s full of everyday looks that feel elevated, not overloaded.

6 looks deep... should I continue? 🙃 I invested in for their range — from MyTheresa.

Mood → relaxed luxury, fluid, effortlessly styled

Why it works → Silk pants move beautifully and give you that modern, relaxed shape. Pair them with casual layers - like a sweatshirt or a chunky knit - and they instantly feel more wearable. Add a structured piece like a bomber or polo knit, and the whole look feels effortless but styled.

Start with one standout pant - then add texture, weight, and contrast. That’s how you get multiple outfits that actually feel different.

Style tip → Silk pants can easily lean dressy, but layering with everyday pieces keeps the vibe balanced - especially in fall. It’s the contrast that does the work. Soft silk + structured layers = elevated, not overdone.

Every look here follows a formula from my Fall to Winter Style Book, where I break down real-life outfit templates that actually work... for layering, for movement, for real life.

So I shopped.
I shopped for investment pieces at MyTheresa.

This isn’t about trends. It’s about how I style investment pieces I actually wear, starting with one of my favorite finds this season - Dries Van Noten silk pants.

The length, the cut, the drape, the way they move. Best silk pants I’ve ever worn.
And if you’ve been here a minute, you’ve seen this Rachel Comey sweatshirt styled a hundred ways. Still not tired of it.

This is what I call paradox styling.
~ Dressy silk pants with a lived-in sweatshirt
~ Western boots for weight and grounding
~ A statement necklace that doesn’t care if it’s “too much” for a Wednesday

It’s an everyday look, but it feels original. Because of the nuance. The unexpected mix. The textures. The contrast. Throw a coat on top and you’re set for fall.

And as you know me, I will be showing at least five more looks with these pants! Because great pieces don’t sit still.

Iconic or controversial? Saw Charlize in her bermuda shorts and felt inspired… These @mm6maisonmargiela hit mid-calf - a bit trickier to pull off, but I was in the mood to give them a spin for fall. Styled them with my old @massimodutti stiletto boots (because anything else just felt off), a @wearcommando bodysuit as the base, then topped it off with a cropped blazer and a long coat that hits right at the hem. Finished with my new favorite daily carry-all gifted by @zadigvoltaire (her name is Jack 🖤), plus the old beat-up @givenchy that always delivers. And just for a bit of unhinged - the best flannel plaid there is by @r13 Final detail: the belt. Extra long, a little unruly, entirely intentional. Also Zadig.

📍Style Note: Bermuda shorts work best for me with heels. They bring something unexpected - more statement than a skirt, and not something you see every day. I try to make them work with flats… but it never quite lands. If you can pull them off with flats, I salute you:) (Charlize, of course, did it like a 10.)

This isn’t the corporate set-up you remember. I started with a neutral base - wide-leg trousers and a matching blazer - and layered in pieces that shift the tone completely: a denim shirt, undone bow, and delicate heels with a bit of sparkle.
The neutral palette makes it easy to accessorize and play with... gold cross earrings, brown optical frames, and the mood shifts again. It’s structured, but not strict. Tailored, but with room for personality.

📍A pantsuit doesn't have to be formal or predictable. You can reframe it, reshape it, make it yours.

More ways to wear it coming soon! This is just the start. ⚡️

A study in contrast: shine vs. structure, statement vs. restraint. Sequins set the tone… but it’s the shape that sets the balance.

I paired slouchy sequin trousers with a sharp, structured shirt, anchored it with a sleek clutch, and added one of my favorite tension points: oversized black optical frames.

Not exactly subtle. But not loud either. Just enough sharpness to steady the shimmer.

📍Style tip: Pair bold textures or volume (like sequins or oversized shapes) with tailored layers to bring it back into focus.

Trading brights for depth, flats for boots, and calling it seasonal strategy. 🍂 Back to my signature formulas that make dressing easier...this time: slouchy bottoms + structure on top + a layer in between that shifts with mood or occasion + accessories to play with style. More on this soon...
