A classic slingback is such a great shoe. I wear these with denim and button downs, with dresses and skirts and they are comfy enough for all-day walking.

Here is what I am packing for fall trips:

🧥A denim jacket that feels fresh and modern. A versatile layer that can go from coffee to a night out.

👚Cashmere Tees. These are such great layering pieces. And tables under $50, I have bought them in several colors.

👖The easiest, everyday pant that travels SO well. Pull-on style, straight-leg, so no pooling at your ankles in public restrooms.

👜A leather tote that fully zips. I never travel with any bag that does not fully close. This one has a ton of compartments. Plus, it’s harder for someone to reach in and grab something when it’s fully zipped. And, if you hit turbulence on your flight, you won’t be hunting for your items down the aisle and under seats.

🥿A leather horsebit loafer is such a classic staple. I’m wearing Gucci loafers in my main photo but also own these and they are just as comfy. The point is this - opt for a leather shoe that molds to your foot. Synthetic materials will crack over time and, often, are not as comfortable for long days of walking.

Walking in airports and on city streets can be unkind to your feet if you aren’t wearing the right shoe.

I like that these are foldable, packable, polished and chic, and can get me to my destination without my feet aching.

It’s also a great pool sandal. It can get wet and there’s no issue.

Five things I pack for Europe.

👗A lightweight black dress that can go from day to night. This one is under $50.

🩴Sandals that can handle 15k+ steps without making my feet feel tired, achy, or hot. These feel like you are walking on air. Super lightweight.

👜A hands-free, crossbody bag in all leather. This one has 3 compartments: 2 are zippered, and one is buttoned. And because it is all leather, it gets softer with every use.

👜 My all-leather catch-all pouch.  This holds all of my in-flight essentials and doubles as an evening clutch for nights out.

👖 My favorite travel pants are wrinkle-resistant, look polished and chic, and can rival any pair of pajamas in feel and comfort.

👙 Bras that feel like a second skin, are lightweight, breathable, and don’t leave any visible seams.  Plus, they provide great coverage.

🧥 A lightweight, packable rain jacket for those just-in-case moments when the weather turns.  The longer back covers your booty, and the sleeves can be tightened so rain can’t get in.  Also has a hood, which I love.

🪭And last, but not least, is my portable, rechargeable fan.  This gets packed for every trip I take during warm months or when I am traveling to warm destinations.  It’s under $10.  Holds a charge for a long time.  I’ve charged mine twice in a year, and I do a ton of traveling.

I stick with a color palette that allows all the pieces to work with others, so I can pack less while still not wearing the same outfit more than once.
