a relaxed silhouette can still be so elevated! I find this one to offer beautiful movement and eye catching details with the white border. I might even say it’s one of my favorites.

It’s different than anything I have and it’s always a perfect choice for multiple occasions I wear mine wear flat sandals or a summer wedge heel.

No sew hack

well, this tip is nothing new, I find that I lean into it more and more because my waistline changes so much during menopause!!

I want flexibility vs a permanent sew solution.

💡 This is an affordable way to adjust the waistline quickly! It also works well if you have an open cardigan that needs a little closure at the top. In a pinch it’s also ideal for adjusting a wrist cuff

Side note: this skirt is phenomenal. It’s perfect for curvy petites!

Curvy petites! Here are some of the reasons I recommend a fit and flare dress and I’ve also linked some current options that are perfect for us!

🛎️A fit-and-flare dress is one of the most flattering styles for a curvy petite frame because it works with your proportions instead of against them. Here are three key things it does really well:

1. Defines your waist (without clinging everywhere)
The fitted top naturally highlights your waist, the smallest part of your torso, while the flared skirt skims over hips and thighs. This creates a balanced, hourglass look without feeling tight or restrictive.

2. Elongates your legs
Because the skirt flares out (especially in shorter or above-the-knee versions), it visually lengthens your legs, something especially helpful for petites. Pairing it with a higher waistline can make you look taller overall.

3. Balances curves for a proportional silhouette

A Pareo and why it works for petites too!

A pareo is the easiest way to get coverage at the pool/beach and take it straight to dinner 💜🤍💜

I love the different ways you can wear, tie, and customize your look. I’m wearing a separates to create a set because it offers additional versatility.
Sometimes I’ll wear the top with just white jeans or the skirt with a tank.

it’s seriously the most comfortable cotton against the skin. Plus, it’s one size fits all on the skirt. I’ve paired it with heels, but it looks fantastic with flats as well.

For a button-down, roll sleeves, tuck or tie to show the waist, keep the print small, vertically or solid, and a slimmer bottom and a heel or if doing a flat opt for a ankle length bottom.

If you’ve ever avoided one because it adds too much volume to your frame, try this one!

It works because the disc fringe creates negative space allowing for a lighter and open look. The discs also create movement for visual interest. This one is beyond chic and modern and the fact that it’s so affordable is incredible.

Style tip:

I’ve paired the skirt with a leather Obi belt and sweater (sleeveless black tank also looks great) to create a longer line with a monochromatic look.
