Size down. These run a little big and come in standard length and short. I am wearing the shorter length. These are a little stretchy and so comfy.

3 Jeans Under $150

👉🏼 If you’re looking for a good pair of jeans that don’t break the bank these three pairs under $150 are the ones I keep recommending to clients.

🙋🏻‍♀️ If you’re new here, I’m Elisa Ellis, Dallas-based wardrobe stylist, consultant, and author of The Style Advantage: I Say What HR Can’t. I work with professionals one on one as well as leaders & corporate teams to build authentic executive presence that drives real ROI.

🔅 One of the biggest struggles I hear is: “I don’t know where to shop for jeans that actually work on my body anymore.”

This is part of my series sharing pieces I recommend and buy for clients.

All of these options are under $150 and deliver on stretch, structure, and may even make your legs look longer while being comfortable.

👖 First, the Vintage Wide-Leg Jean from Madewell. True to size, available in standard, petite, short, tall, and plus (sizes 23–33 or 14W–28W). Available in multiple washes. Made of a Cotton + lyocell blend so they are soft with structure and have a little stretch. The higher 11⅜″ rise helps elongate the leg.

👖 Next up, the Brittany Bootcut by Wit & Wisdom. These are under $100. Available in standard and petite, sizes 00–18 and have a 10½″ front rise. Made with (cotton, rayon, polyester) these have lots of stretch so size down. A classic bootcut to give you balance without feeling dated.

👖 Last but not least, the Wide-Leg Jean from Kut from the Kloth These are around $100. Range is sizes from 00–16/18 depending on retailer and they have 10¼″ rise. These jeans tend to run big and have plenty of stretch since they are made of a blend of cotton, polyester, and spandex. You want to size down and wear them a few days to let them mold. These are super soft and forgiving.

When the fit works, you stop fighting your clothes and start showing up as the leader you already are.
