One of my favorite interior tricks to make a window look larger and more elegant—hang your curtain rod wider and higher than the actual frame 🤍

This window is 48 inches wide, but I mounted the rod 12 inches out on each side (that’s 72 inches total!) and extended it about 2–3 inches further to allow the curtains to stack off the window completely. This instantly makes the room feel taller, the window look grander, and gives it that designer feel.

✨ Pro tip: Hang your rod just 1–2 inches below the ceiling (or crown/trim) to draw the eye up
✨ The extra width also lets in more natural light and makes everything feel more open

It’s a small change with a big impact 🤎
