Fake-out takeout that’s faster than DoorDash 🥢 Sweet, savory, and ready in under 30 minutes — this one’s on repeat around here. INGREDIENTS For the Chicken
1/3 cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 medium boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
1/4 cup avocado oil For the Sauce
1/3 cup honey
1 Tablespoon tomato paste
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 Tablespoon sesame seeds For the Veggies I use a bag of the Taylor Farms Teriyaki Stir Fry veggies here because they are all pre-cut and it means my kids actually eat kale 🤣 I just toss the teriyaki sauce it comes with! INSTRUCTIONS * Dice the chicken and place in a large bowl with the cornstarch, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Mix until the chicken is well coated. * Add the avocado oil to your skillet and heat to medium. Add the chicken and cook 5 minutes, without disrupting it at all. This is the key to the crunch! * Flip and do the same thing on that side. Remove the chicken and drain any excess oil on a paper towel. * While the chicken cooks, mix up the sauce. * Place the chicken in a large bowl and pour the sauce on top and mix until coated. * Add more avocado oil to the pan and cook the veggies for 8-10 minutes until softened and a little brown. * I serve this with microwave sticky rice and a little bit of sriracha on top!
