I’m in my 50s now, and here’s something wild: I look better than I did in my 30s and 40s.

For years I didn’t even realize how much I’d let myself fade into the background. Skipping the mirror instead of looking in it. Putting everyone else’s needs before my own, every single day.

Turning it around wasn’t one big overhaul. It was small, daily acts of choosing myself — the right fit over the “safe” size, sun rays instead of something to erase, showing up as me instead of hiding.

Two fall trends that are catching our attention right now are knit scarf sweaters and argyle! We love how these styles bring a fresh feel to our fall wardrobes while still being easy to wear. Both are great options for adding a little something extra to your everyday outfits.

At 54, we’ve learned that feeling beautiful has nothing to do with waiting for our bodies to look a certain way. We’ve raised kids, lived through hard seasons, and learned to appreciate our bodies for everything they’ve carried us through. So yes, we’re putting on the dress, enjoying the moment, and feeling confident exactly as we are.

Watching Jack at SMU, surrounded by his people with that spark in his eyes, brought so many emotions I wasn’t expecting. This is the kid who used to fall asleep on my chest, and now he’s building a life of his own a flight away from home, and I couldn’t be prouder.

Growing up is supposed to happen, but nobody tells you that pride and missing them can exist at the same time. Tonight I’ll cheer a little louder, hug him a little longer, and fly home already missing him because that’s what loving them well looks like. Go get it, Jack. Mom is so proud. 🐴❤️
