I’m in my 50s now, and here’s something wild: I look better than I did in my 30s and 40s.

For years I didn’t even realize how much I’d let myself fade into the background. Skipping the mirror instead of looking in it. Putting everyone else’s needs before my own, every single day.

Watching Jack at SMU, surrounded by his people with that spark in his eyes, brought so many emotions I wasn’t expecting. This is the kid who used to fall asleep on my chest, and now he’s building a life of his own a flight away from home, and I couldn’t be prouder.
