This dress is from Amazon and it fit like a glove last year in a size XXL, but I was unable to raise my arms or move without the skirt hiking up (I’m 5’10) so this year I bought the 3XL. It is roomier where every time I move my body I’m not readjusting and guess what? Sizing up doesn’t affect my worth as a human being. No one died, the world didnt end and having a size larger only enhances my experience.

PSA: You don’t owe anyone an explanation for the size of your clothes. A 3 in front of XL doesn’t make me any less charming, creative, beautiful….(shall I go on 😂), but because I like the fit better I can feel my confidence and I’m not constantly fidgeting to make sure my pancakes aren’t on display.

YOU are your own worst critic and life is too fucking short to not wear the perfect dress during your favorite month.
