I love toys that encourage open play and this is a great find for anyone interested in childhood development and teaching kids emotional literacy. As my girls approach 2 years old, I am starting to teach them emotions and help them recognize and name their emotions. This “emotional baggage” set has 8 soft and squeezable plushies that express a variety of emotions (like emoji). This set comes with a play card that gives you ideas on how to use it. It is known that kids learn better when they can play out through actions and motion. These can be rolled, squeezed, tossed into the canvas bag it comes with. The possibilities are endless!

My list of must have for starting solids for babies.
My toddlers are now almost 18 months and I started solids with them at around 5 months. These items are still our favorites and used daily!

I tried a variety of bowl, spoons and freezer cubes and these are my favorites by far. Cubes are large capacity so you can transfer frozen purées/liquids into stasher bag for longer storage in the freezer.

This book is really great if you want to start with purées and ease into BLW or do a combo of both!

Dream closet

Once upon a closet…

What began as a messy storage closet space in July 2024 slowly, quietly, became something else.

Nine months later (ironically just like a pregnancy) this space was reborn into a magical world for my girls.

A corner made of dreams and books, soft lights and tiny treasures.

I didn’t rush it.
I let it grow, evolve, breathe.

And maybe that’s the lesson:
Not everything beautiful is built quickly.
Sometimes magic takes time.
