Cinnamon Roll Bread. One of my favorite ways to test the recipes I write for work is with our small group every other week, this is one of the favs. It’s always been a focus for Dave and I to serve others with the things that God has given to us, it’s so fun to create memories in your home with new and old friends isn’t it? This recipe was doubled for small group tonight. The dough 1 Tbs yeast 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup milk 1/3 cup melted butter 1 teaspoon salt 1 egg 3 1/2 - 4 cups flour For filling 3/4 cup sugar 1.5 tablespoons ground cinnamon 1/2 cup melted butter For glaze 2.5 cups powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 3 to 6 tablespoons hot water - Combine yeast per instructions. Heat milk, water and butter in microwave until melted, let rest for a few mins before adding to flour (If it’s too hot when adding to flour, it will not rise). Combine all roll ingredients and knead for 5 mins. Cover in an oiled bowl and let rise until doubled, 1.5-2 hrs. - Roll out (don’t punch down) and spread warmed butter onto bread, then layer sugar mixture. Roll length wise and cut down the middle to create two pieces. Twist in a braid form, keeping as much sugar as possible inside. Cover and let rise for 1 hr or put in refrigerator for the next morning. - Bake at 375F for 25 mins or until slightly golden. Meanwhile mix the glaze. Pour over as soon as they are done and let rest until you can’t stand it anymore. LTKHome LTKFamily LTKFindsUnder50
