Five things worth the money, petite edition 🩷

I get asked all the time what’s in my petite toolkit, so here are the five things I reach for again and again.

1️⃣ A tagging gun. This is basically an instant stitch for any of your clothes. I use mine to hold a wrap top or wrap skirt in place, raise a neckline, hold hems up, close the gap between buttons, and even keep bra straps from slipping down under a top.

2️⃣ Sleeve garters. A simple piece of elastic that goes round your arm to shorten sleeves instantly. I use these constantly on shirts and blazers, and they’re brilliant for holding rolled up sleeves in place too.

3️⃣ Waist elastic. An adjustable piece of elastic that goes round your waist, then you pull your top through it. Perfect for shortening a t-shirt or jumper without tucking everything into your trousers and adding bulk. I use mine mostly with t-shirts over my slip skirts, so you can’t see the colour through or feel the bulk.

4️⃣ Wonderweb. An adhesive you place between two pieces of fabric, and with heat, it bonds them together. My go to for quick alterations like taking up trousers or shortening sleeves.

5️⃣ A bra converter. Turns any bra into a racerback. A total game changer for tiny petite shoulders where straps just won’t stay put, and brilliant for bras where the straps are already as tight as they’ll go but still too loose.
