I didn’t become passionate about breastfeeding because it came naturally to me.
I became passionate about it because it didn’t.

When my daughter was born, I tried so hard to breastfeed. I pumped endlessly. I did skin-to-skin. I used every trick and device the internet suggested. And still… nothing worked. My body made only drops.

And the hardest part wasn’t the low supply it was the feeling that I was doing something wrong. No one ever explained why things weren’t working or how to troubleshoot. I was told what to do, but not how my body worked or what my baby needed.

Looking back now, I can see there were medical factors and feeding decisions that impacted my journey things I had no idea about at the time. And I wish someone had sat with me, listened to me, and helped me understand what was happening instead of letting me believe I was failing.

That’s why I’m doing this work now.
Because no parent should have to struggle in silence or feel inadequate because breastfeeding is hard. You deserve information, compassion, and support not pressure and shame.
