Holiday master bedroom makeover

I’ve been leaning into a new tradition in this “new life” of mine… one that’s tender, simple, and somehow healing in ways I didn’t expect.

Each season, I change out my bedding. 🍁❄️🌷☀️

It might sound small, but for me, it’s become a gentle way to look forward to something again — to create new memories in a space that carries some of the deepest, most sacred ones.

My master bedroom has always been holy ground. It’s where I lived my entire marriage… laughed, cried, prayed… and ultimately, where I ushered my sweet husband into the feet of Jesus. This room holds a weight of love and loss that can’t quite be put into words.

So refreshing the bedding each season?
It gives me a tiny reset. A soft place to land. A reminder that life keeps moving, and I’m allowed to create new traditions even in the middle of grief.

And this time… it was extra special.
While I was out of town, my sweet daughter pulled everything together and surprised me by making the room feel fresh, warm, and ready for this next season. What a gift to walk in and feel so seen and loved. 💛

It doesn’t erase the bittersweet… but it makes room for healing, one small layer at a time.

If you’re walking through a season like this, maybe this can be a permission slip for you too — to find something small that helps your heart breathe again
