Happy #SelfcareSunday, friends! I had my first real outing in almost 18 months yesterday, and it was equally amazing and stressful all at the same time. I really hate being away from my Sophia girl, but she had the best day with her Daddy and Grandpa.

Putting a full face of makeup on was also a bit of a throwback, especially since becoming a mom. To me, wife and mother will always be my greatest titles. I learned from the best! My body grew this perfect little angel, and I will always thank God for that. After 5 months of putting myself last on the list, however, I decided to start consistently working out again. In 21 days, I’m already feeling better in my skin. Candidly, I completely slacked on nutrition side, so I’m hoping to improve there, but it’s not about the number of the scale for me. It’s about learning how to fit my health into this new routine…because, as my husband says, if I go down, the whole ship will go with me! Any other moms relate?

On November 8th I’m participating in another 21 day challenge. Workouts are generally only 30 minutes 4-6 days per week. I did yoga last round to ease my way back in, so I’m planning on doing barre this time. If you want to join me, feel free to leave a ❤️ below or shoot me a DM. Here’s a fun fact: I hate vegetables! 🤢 It’s been a struggle for me since I was little, but now as a nursing mama, I know I need to be better about eating my greens. I wish #8greensgiftedme their tablets sooner because they would’ve been amazing during pregnancy.

I’ve tested many a “green juice” back in the day, and I’ve always gagged at the taste. I love the melon and blood orange flavor @8greens offers. Candidly, I’m afraid to try the regular. It’s been almost a week since I started working out regularly again. I was so ready to get my body, mind and overall health back on track that I joined as a newbie coach under my sweet coach, @ stylemelauren. I’ve eased my way back in with a 21 challenge, and have found yoga to be the best option for me right now. My core strength feels non- existent and my knees feel like jello. It took 9 months to grow my sweet Sophia, so I try to remind myself that this will take time. To motivate me more, I tried another align legging, dupe from Amazon. This one is pretty good! I should also share that I created a little accountability group and would love to have you join. Broke out all my staples this weekend - lululemon aligns, classic denim jacket and Keds slip-on sneakers. We spent some time at the farmer’s market after our flu shots on Saturday (can you say adulting 😂🤦🏻‍♀️), and Sophia absolutely loved it. These poor pandemic babies are always perplexed when they see more than a few people at one time, but the heirloom pumpkins really excited her.

My recommendation is to look for one that has at least 30 million CFU (colony forming units) to get the most benefit.

Happy Sunday, friends! We ran errands this morning then tried a new park. Talk about #momlife, right? These days I’m reaching for easy, simple makeup products, so when #beautycountergiftedme their #thinkbiggerthinkbetter mascara, I was eager to give it a try. I must say, I’m rather impressed, especially because it’s a clean formula. Those are notorious for lacking certain mascara features we’ve all come to know and love. @beautycounter did an incredible job formulating a volumizing and lengthening product that’s light enough for days like today. It’s worth a try, if you’re in the market for a clean option. My only complaint is the brush. I don’t love the plastic ones, and generally use those in combination with a standard bristle mascara product.
