Happy Arbor Day, friends! Today felt like the perfect time to share a little garden transformation story. Use code: TheShannyKateStyleArbor for 17% off now through May 16th. We have this tricky side yard where no matter what we tried, the grass just wouldn’t grow. Instead of fighting nature, I decided to work with it—and I’m so glad I did. What once was a patch of frustration has turned into one of my favorite corners of our outdoor space. I created a little garden sanctuary centered around a gorgeous metal trellis, soon to be covered in blooming clematis climbing up from square wood planter boxes on either side. To bring it all together, I added a cozy wooden bench—just right for morning coffee or evening quiet time—and laid down some rubber garden stones to form a sweet little path through it all. Sometimes the spots that don’t cooperate end up becoming the most special. Here’s to finding beauty where you least expect it—and planting something new this Arbor Day.
