My favorite @indymonthly issue of the year is hitting mailboxes and newsstands this week…Best Restaurants! But this one is even more special because they asked me to open the doors to my favorite space at home for their Open Door feature.

Which space to choose?? It was an easy choice - my home office is the headquarters for @thebaerminimalist and couldn’t be more “me.” It’s a space that I love spending time in as I work to grow our business and deliver impeccable service to the hundreds of clients who have trusted us to organize their homes over the years.

This week marks seven years since I hit “publish” on my website and started organizing homes. I’ve worked my way through a twin pregnancy, sleepless nights with said twins, a pandemic and lots of personal growth. I’ve grown a team of smart, thoughtful, passionate humans who show up to stand out.

I’m lucky! And moments like this always make me stop in my tracks and take a moment to recognize what we’ve built!

We all know it’s the smallest member of the family that needs the most streamlined space.

Every tiny outfit and essential has a place in this closet, making it super easy to change, swaddle, bundle, and get back to the serious business of being a baby.

The best part? Labeled zones make finding everything a breeze. A non-negotiable for tired parents everywhere.

And 🙌🏼 to @calclosets_erin for designing the most intentional spaces always and forever!

If we’ve implemented product in your house, chances are we’ve installed our absolute favorite drawer dividers from @neatmethod.

Why do these take the cake??

First, they come in four different sizes so they can really benefit any size drawer.

Second, the spring is so intense they trap our fingers almost every time - which means they won’t go sliding around in your drawer like some of the plastic options on the market.

And third, they are just beautiful!

This time of year has me hunkering down and making all the crafts!!

So it was an absolute joy to cap off a busy week by organizing this craft space of dreams into a place that truly sparks creativity.

I have always loved entertaining and filling holidays with little special touches! When we added built-ins into my office earlier this year (thank you, @calclosets_erin with @caclosetsindianapolis), my dream came true of actually organizing all of these goodies!

I’ve always found that the more accessible these items are, the better chance there is that I’ll actually remember to use them.

Now…time to get planning some fun Fall events!

Someone’s about to have a great weekend! After a super thorough edit (where toys benefitted a local family who had recently become home to two new foster kiddos), this space is totally refreshed.

Sometimes less really is more and my guess is, the toys that are left will be played with 100% more.

This space is beyond ready for summer! Swimsuits, sunscreen, hydration and bandaids…what more does one need?

In honor of our team lead, @meditate2create, coming back from maternity leave and opening her schedule for Spring projects, can we just take a moment to appreciate this incredible homeschool transformation? 🙌🏼

We've got a fun LIVE office organizing session happening Monday morning, where we get to implement systems for a great shoe collection, hair + makeup, snacks to carry this person through the day and a space for all sorts of fun mementos all in four minutes or less.

My home office has been one design regret after another over the last couple of years. I am not afraid of taking risks...but enough is enough already.

From bad lighting to worse paint choices, I just couldn't get it quite right.

Enter a collaboration with @calclosets_erin where we designed a built-in desk large enough to spread out and flanked cabinets for a crazy amount of storage, this space no longer makes me cringe when I walk inside.

I'll admit, I might just have a new favorite room in the house!

This craft + game closet was organized just in the nick of time for a holiday break!

These @thecontainerstore multipurpose bins are a true favorite - allowing big collections of categories to be organized, visible and easy to put away. A win-win-win situation! 🎲 🥇🧩

Happy Halloween-Eve!! Just a little inspo for your costumes to get the wear and tear they deserve all throughout the year!

Keep all the costumes hung for easy access, and all the fun accessories thrown in bins nearby. And then wait for all of the crazy costumes that only kids can imagine.

These 🖤 walls are the perfect backdrop for organizing 1,345,725 tiny human toys, don’t you think??

Adding in a couple of bike racks (that can grow with the bikes), another system for all of the rackets/balls, and our favorite @thecontainerstore smoke multipurpose bins for easy access for little hands, this garage is set for summer!

Holidays have us pulling out all the crafts (and wishing we had things this organized when it comes time to put things away)!! 🐰

If you’ve got things stored every which way (I’m totally guilty of that), consider grabbing a divided turn table to keep things accessible (and might we add…FUN)!

One word: #craftastic 🌈

We never tire of a drawer filled to file-folded perfection. In this case we let our excitement take things one step further and fold all pajama sets together (pants folded inside shirts).

Adding in dividers creates additional boundaries (and we are big fans of boundaries)!
