iIf you don’t already have fire blankets, order them immediately. I ordered ours on a whim thinking we wouldn’t ever need them. Well today was the day I actually opened the package and had to use them. The burner went crazy and caught the silicone microwave cover on fire and it grew and grew and grew. I grabbed them from under my sink, threw one on, and then the second because it was still going strong. These put it out with minimal smoke and didn’t spread at all. It was scary but I managed to stay calm so the kids didn’t get too scared 🙃 We also have a fire extinguisher but I wouldn’t even know where to begin cleaning up that mess. So let this be your sign, grab a couple. Keep them accessible. (And don’t let them touch your skin like I did. Fiber glass sucks) LTKstorytime LTKHome LTKmomlife
