No summer break? Me neither! Here’s exactly what I’d book if I had 5 PTO days this summer — and where I’d stay. ✨ Memorial Day – Block Island 🗓 May 23–26 (1 PTO day) First time? Book the classic @blockislandbeachhouse near town. It’s a rite of passage.Been before or want more quiet? Skip the center and grab a group Airbnb further out. 🌊Laze on the cliffs. Do a proper mudslide hop…. by Monday lunch time you’ll be able to wander to those untouched stretches of beach where you won’t see anyone for hours. It’s unreal here. ✨ Fire Island – midweek magic 🗓 June 21–23 (2 PTO days) ✨ If you’ve never been to Fire Island, just go. You’ll get it the moment you arrive on that wide open beach. ✨Places are small and pricey, I would stay in Ocean Bay Area, skip over to the pines and cherry grove for some fun nights! ✨ FYI, if you didn’t know, Fire Island is is the iconic summer getaway for LGBTQIA communities. It’s super family friendly, and the different areas go from wild day dance parties to wading pools and full family energy! 🌊 🌊Open ocean. No cars. Boardwalk mornings. It feels like you left to paradise. ✨ July 4th – Westbrook, CT 🗓 July 3–5 (0 PTO days) Stay at @watersedgeresortandspa - I’ve stayed here on repeat and once you get a waterfront villa… there’s no going back! ✨ Late August – Lake Placid 🗓 August 21–23 (0 PTO days) Stay at @bluebirdhotels Lake Placid One-minute walk downtown. Quiet. Gorgeous renovation. That air is healing. ❤️‍🩹 ✨ Labor Day – Acadia Maine 🗓 September 3–7 (2 PTO days) Stay at Holiday Inn Resort Bar Harbor - Acadia Natl Park. Waterfront. Super heated pool + hot tub. Almost to have that resort energy for Maine — and I love it. Crisp air. Incredible hiking. 🥾 Sunset over sunrise at Cadillac mountain - just drive down a little and enjoy the gorgeous sunset rather than from the summit where it is more blocked (summit is for sunrise!)
