This Packing Sudoku grid was inspired by Emily @emilydamon3 and her incredible Kenya trip. Nine core pieces that move across completely different environments without overpacking.

Travel day outfit: black cardigan, jacket, ponte pants, and boots (wear your boots on the plane to save space). I always bring lightweight slippers so I can take them off as soon as I’m seated.

You’ll also see a few pieces that are not for safari at all — like the black sweater. Those are for the city and vineyard portion of the trip, where evenings are cooler and outfits get a little more polished.
