Newborn with Colic essentials!

These were super helpful with a newborn with colic… I saw the best improvement while using the probiotic drops
I elected for ones that also had vitamin d since breast feeding & less things to give . but If you have a formula fed baby (has vitamin D in It) you can get the ones without it
Also reach out to your pediatrician if you suspect colic, a lot of times it’s something that can be treated that may be causing the colic—-
For example, acid reflux , gas , constipation etc… but if symptoms persist and no medical concerns are found —- sometimes it can be the immature gastrointestinal system so try probiotic.

I also did a trial of changing my diet no caffeine, gas producing foods or milk to see if that helped and slowly one by one added them back into my diet.

It can be exhausting and stressful … so definitely reach out for help when you need to take breaks!

Most used items with a newborn —rest of items . These all are things I could not do without in our day to day life with a newborn!

Love this Graco swing that doubles as a rocker // you can take off the top and move it around the house — I also some takes take the top part to my moms for the day! It is similar to mamma roo with the electric rocking/ motion !

Another great buy was this little egg light that you can dim & tap to turn off and on! It’s essential at night feedings and not to bright so easier to fall back asleep! I actually prefer this over the hatch and I have both ! Pro tip : take with you to hospital as well!

Get you a great diaper bag that you will love ! I put mine and my babies life in her e and use for ever outing so get something you love and want to carry!

I love these swaddles the best !! so many ways to use & super soft— I learned quickly I prefer these over muslin! They are much easier to swaddle a newborn because they stretch! I use to cover with feeding when in public as well and sometimes as a burp cloth — hey you grab what’s near by sometimes 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m obsessed with this playmat— it is aesthetic and has so many different attachments and features for playtime! I started using it when my baby was 2 weeks — for tummy time. Now at 2 months we do tummy time and I even lay him on his back and attach the cards to the top for visual stimulation, and we do leg bicycle for gas relief , look /read books , play with the objects that have sounds etc!! I love that it grows with them so when he’s bigger he can touch and look at all the attachments as well!

My baby bjorn wrap was hands down best money I spent I wear this daily — it’s so comforting to my son and helps me get more stuff done! Plus I love how it keeps us closer and gives extra bonding time!

My most used items and biggest recommendations for life at home with a newborn! I use all of these daily or weekly!

If you have a colicky baby I highly suggest probiotics — this one has vitamin D also which is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics for Breast fed babies ( formula babies have vitamin D already in formula).
This helped my baby so much!
