OUTLETS Gotta have ‘em. But don’t let them steal the show. Initially, I was given the options: 1) cut in to the side of the oak tower 2) cut in to the backsplash stone 3) cut in to the island countertop stone and install a pop up outlet All I could think was… 🙅🏽♀️ Preferably, I wanted a clean look. I didn’t want them staring at me and steeling the show in the kitchen.. and I did NOT want to have to cut in to the flawlessly solid stone or oak wood towers. (BUT, I have seen it done well with beautiful brass outlet covers or covers that blend seamlessly when there is no other option). The point is, don’t hesitate to explore EVERY option for those outlet placements. I didn’t want mine to be visible, and I’m so glad we came up with a solution simply using a plug mold! It’s the little things that can often be overlooked but they make SUCH a difference in any kitchen.
