Alright, here we go with the new year, new goals. Goal 1: My Instagram feed is officially retiring as a perfectly polished portfolio grid. Final photos + staging are such a tiny sliver of what we actually do, so you’re getting way more of the real process, the in-between, the messy, the “this is why we did that” moments. Goal 2: Make updates to our own home without taking 8,029 business days to decide on something like… paint sheen. I simply do not have time for my own psychotic design spirals anymore. As like most of us designers, we can make decisions much easier for others than we can for ourselves. Goal 3: Teach you things. Like—every room has a fifth wall if you stop ignoring it. Yes, ceilings count. Yes, wallpaper belongs up there. JUST KNOW that ceilings can reflect light and flaws, which is why the quality of the paper and the installer actually matter. I can’t find a single seam here even with my trained eye. Invest in the right places, friends. You won’t regret it. I’ll save the rest for another day. ✌🏼❤️
