Postpartum hair loss hit me hard after I had Aiden.

I was already feeling self-conscious about it… and then the comments started.
People telling me I looked sick.
That I was too skinny / needed to gain weight.
That I should stop breastfeeding.

It stuck with me more than I’d like to admit.

This time around after having Philip, I decided to be proactive instead of anxious about it.

I started taking collagen about a year ago and used a thickening serum throughout my pregnancy to help support my hair before postpartum even started.

And when the thinning spots show up?
A little part switch and curling my hair works wonders.

Mom life teaches you a lot… but one of the biggest lessons for me has been learning not to let other people’s opinions define how I feel about myself.

I’m a mom of two who’s not embarrassed to admit that I rarely pay full price for anything anymore.

Sometimes the best spring break memories are the ones you didn’t plan.

We made an impromptu stop at Sunrise Park (otherwise known as Melton Peter Demetre Park) and it turned into the sweetest afternoon. Aiden danced on the beach, splashed in the water, and ran around like he owned the place.

Thankfully I had a swimsuit in the car for him and a burp cloth to shade Philip’s head — mom bag essentials coming through.

Days like this remind me that kids don’t care about big plans… they just want space to play and explore.

Spring break adventures at Magnolia Plantation and it ended up being one of our favorite days. 🌿

The scenery was beautiful, but what made it so fun was how much there was for Aiden to explore. He ran across bridges, climbed trees, watched animals at the zoo, and got VERY excited every time we spotted another alligator (we counted 9 total 🐊).

There’s so much to do here — the gardens, zoo with peacocks and prairie dogs, the historic house, boat tours, walking paths, and plenty of space for kids to just run around and explore.

It’s one of those places that’s just as fun for adults as it is for kids.

If you’re in Charleston, it’s definitely worth the visit.

Spring Break Day 2 took us to Middleton Place and Aiden was living his best life.

He ran all over the grounds, rolled around in the grass, checked out the animals, and was most excited about spotting the alligators 🐊

It was such a sweet day exploring with my mom and the boys. I love finding simple places around Charleston where kids can just run, explore, and be kids.

I’m really grateful my body lost the baby weight quickly, but after two babies I’m still working on healing diastasis recti. My stomach isn’t where I want it yet, and that’s okay.
