Today is day 30 of 30 days of “How to Dress Like a Cool Girl in Your 50’s”! I hope you’ve enjoyed the series. I’m going to keep dressing like this because it’s the style that I like!

If you like this style too, here are some tips:
—Leather and suede (jacket, belt, shoes, handbag, etc)
—Statement pieces (necklace, belt, earrings, bracelets)
—A great fitting white tshirt (can be worn its own or layered)
—Animal print!
—A slouchy pair of jeans (bonus points the hem is frayed)
—Jeans that basically hit the floor, with a pointed toe shoe peeping out
—A big slouchy bag
—Oversized sunglasses

These are just a few suggestions, but what really makes you cool? Knowing who you are. Knowing what you like. Knowing your style. Dressing for yourself. Not dressing how you think you’re “supposed” to because of your age. Finding that confidence and dressing in a way that makes you feel good about yourself. That’s what makes you “cool”.

Casual…yet elevated! Paying attention to a few details will take a sweatshirt and jeans up a notch. For example:

Front tuck & add a belt
Swap sneakers for heels or a cute pair of flats
Add statement jewelry
A big tote bag
And sunglasses!

I love the look of a wide leg jean, but haven’t found a pair that I love until now. These are @levi and they checked all of the boxes for me. They are not too baggy, they hang at a nice angle, and are high waisted. I love that they come in different inseam options. I’m in the 25, 32” inseam.

My cute little leopard cardigan is on sale for $50. I’m in the XS.

Day 29 of 30 “How to Dress Like a Cool Girl in Your 50’s”!

This oversized denim jacket with a hood is the epitome of cool!! It’s so stinking cute!! I love it paired as denim on denim, aka the Canadian tuxedo. I like it with a slimmer pair of jeans to balance proportions.

This @Tanya Taylor jacket seriously might be my favorite jacket that I own. It’s THAT good. The attention to detail and the quality are perfection. It’s an instant outfit, statement, cool girl piece. Love, love, love. I’m wearing the XS.
