The Amazon rainforest!! 😍 It was a dream I’ve had since I was a kid sitting in science class in New York, learning about “the lungs of the Earth.”

To actually travel 2 hours by boat down the Tambopata River, sleep in an eco-lodge, hike through the jungle at night, and wake up to the sound of howler monkeys… I still can’t believe it was real.

Spent time with the women of Ccaccaccollo, a Quechua community in the Sacred Valley whose weaving traditions almost disappeared until community tourism gave them a way to protect it, not replace it.

Made it to CUSCO! 11,000 ft above sea level and wow, this city hits different (literally). 😎

The landing alone? INSANE (iykyk). The plane dips and weaves between the mountains before touching down like it’s no big deal. And then it hits you… the altitude. You can feel it in your breath, your steps, even your thoughts slowing down for a second.

That’s how high I climbed on the Lares Trek in @peru. And let me tell you… it wasn’t easy. But there’s something about the Andes: the air is thinner, the silence louder, and you start realizing strength isn’t always physical. Sometimes it’s mindset. Sometimes it’s tears. Sometimes it’s just one more step.
