This is exactly what I’m talking about when I say layers are EVERYTHING! It’s 50° here and 80° in Florida, so I built my travel outfit around pieces I can easily add or remove depending on the temperature. A lightweight trench coat is my go-to (this one is reversible, which makes it even better for styling options on the trip), paired with a short sleeve knit top that keeps me warm enough for the airport but won’t feel too heavy once I land. Barrel jeans for comfort, jelly flats with a cushioned insole for all the walking, and a crossbody bag so I can stay hands-free through security and boarding.

My biggest travel style tip: always dress for BOTH climates. When you’re traveling from cold to warm, layering is KEY so you’re comfortable the entire day, not just on the plane. Think breathable base layers, lightweight outerwear, and pieces that can transition easily once you arrive. It makes such a difference, especially on travel days that feel long and unpredictable.😅

Also something I always plan for: assume your hotel room won’t be ready. If I land at 1 or 2 p.m. and check-in isn’t until 4 p.m., I want to be able to head straight out and enjoy the day without needing to change. That means wearing an outfit that works for your destination RIGHT AWAY, just peel off the layers and you’re good to go. If the room IS ready, amazing… but I never rely on it.

If you’re building a travel outfit, think: layers, comfort, and versatility. Pieces you can restyle, wear multiple ways, and feel put together in from airport to arrival. It’s one of those small things that makes travel feel so much easier. 🤍
