POV: If your kid is starting JK this year, listen up 🧠 Before school even starts, preparation is everything. In our home we thrive on discipline, structure, & consistency (and trust me when I say this it starts very young, if you have been following me for sometime than you know that I am a very hands-on mom💁🏻♀️, he’s my only child so YES I work butt off on him👌🏼 and I’m so freaking so proud of myself🥳). I am so beyond grateful to be his mama🫶🏻. 1. Talk about school positively—make it sound like a place to learn, play, and make friends (no big-kid pressure). 2. Practice the routine: wake up, get dressed, eat breakfast—do a few “school mornings” at home. 3. Visit the school if you can, walk by the playground, show them where they’ll go. 4. Read school-themed books to help normalize feelings and ease anxiety. 5. And most importantly—having a Montessori-style home setup to teach independence is key 🤍 As a FTM I cannot recommend this enough. Low hooks, accessible snacks, letting them try. Using the washroom, opening snacks, putting on shoes—these small wins build big confidence. You’re not just preparing them for JK… you’re teaching them they can do hard things 🫶 Momtips MomHacks ToddlerMom MontessoriStyle FirstDayofSchool Preparing your kids for JK, Tips on how to prep kids for junior kindergarten, Montessori style home, First time Mom, First time going to Junior kindergarten tips for first time moms LTKmomlife LTKHome LTKKids
