I feel like most of us, when we’re just starting to get into a workout routine (especially if it’s not something we’ve done consistently before), we usually start with a short-term goal—like getting ready for a trip, an event, or wanting to drop a few pounds. And yeah, that can give you a quick burst of motivation and maybe even fast results… but does it actually stick? Not really. I spent years in that mindset—always working out to get ready for something. A shoot, a fashion show… being in the modeling world made it so easy to tie workouts to how I looked. But everything shifted when I started moving for how it makes me feel. These days, when I work out, I really try to focus on that. Not the mirror, not the scale. Just: how do I feel before vs. after? And honestly? It changed everything. I don’t skip workouts because I’m “not seeing progress” or because I don’t feel good about how I look. I just show up, like brushing my teeth, because it gives me mental clarity, energy, and strength (especially for lifting my babies!). So next time you work out—just try this. Focus on the feeling. Compare your before and after. That shift alone can make all the difference in building a routine that actually sticks. LTKFamily LTKActive
