How far along were you when you had your baby shower? We had our first shower when I was 25 weeks pregnant, but this time around we pushed it to the edge. Since Baby #2 is a boy we’re reusing ALL of son’s old gear from http://liketk.it/3l7Sf clothes, car seats, strollers, high chair, and other gadgets.

If I’m being honest I planned to exclusively pump with Remy and somehow ended up nursing for 2 years. This time around I’m preparing my nursing kits in advance because I don’t know what this kid will have in mind. I’ll be following his lead. I’m making two baskets, one for my bedroom & the other for our family room filled with:

Nipple cream
Breast pads
Snacks
Haakaa (to collect milk during feedings)
Mini bottles of water

Even though I have some leftover nursing gear from Remy I’m really excited to try the reusable organic nursing pads once I’m out of the disposables. And last time I only had a few bras and tanks but my friends hooked me up at my baby shower.

I had to remind myself of who TF I am...

Last summer we were locked in the house and now I'm carrying around extra weight, in pain, out of breath, and dealing with indigestion most if the time. This isn't exactly the hot girl summer I was looking forward too..

Over the weekend I was able to celebrate my line sister's union with her love, get dressed up, see my peeps, and shake this extra 55 lbs on the dance floor!

This little guy came home from his trips requesting aka demanding Co Co Melon. To distract him I pulled out his “Busy Book”.

A friend shared this cute little book with tons of activities with me a while ago and I’ve been slowly putting it together. Remy is VERY active so I wasn’t sure if he would be interested, but to my surprise he was.

The activities vary from lower & upper case letters, alphabet, color matching, animals, vegetables & fruits, occupation, transportation, and opposites.

So far Remy’s favorite activities are matching farm animals, crayon color matching, and ABCs.

If you had to pick your favorite place to go, where would it be? I will almost always choose the Beach. Unless you have blue crabs! Then I will always be in front of the crabs.

We made it back from our toddler free trip, so, to help me get through the week I'm reminiscing on when put my toes in the sand, smelled the salty air, laid out with my love, and had my belly out.

Do you date your spouse? One of our favorite things to do is go on dates. Anything involving food, good drinks, and music is our jam. Even after having Remy we were blessed with friends who begged to watch him so our dates continued.

Then 2020 happened… Between the pandemic and moving 2x in a year our dates stopped! Whew I missed them, so last week we got it in! We’ll see how things go once Baby #2 arrives, but for now the Rileys are back at it!

Reading! I am SO far behind on my reading, so not only is this for you, but for me. Today I’m going to try to kick back, relax and pull out my book. I’m reading Get out of your head by Jennie Allen with a few girlfriends and even though it’s a good read I’ve been slacking. This book has an amazing blend of mental and spiritual components.

Pick your poison… what ya got? Sneakers, flats, or heels? I've never been a sneaker head, but when I got pregnant with Remy my hubby got me my first pair of Nike Air Maxx 270s and now I dabble in the sneaker world a bit. I mean who doesn't like felt like walking on little pillows.

So, now that I've entered in the sneaker world I really like Nike Air Max 270 & Vapormax. My newest babies are the Nike vapor Maxx 2020.
