When I was younger, my mom was single and worked three jobs. Cue the Reba music, because her life has very much so reflected the song “I’m a Survivor”. Yet as the baby of the family, I was blissfully unaware most days that we were poor. But that’s also because of my mom’s creativity. She taught me to sew clothes, negotiate deals at antique stores, and shop the pantry to cook a meal. I never realized she did these things more out of necessity than anything else. This little look into a few memories is just to remind you- things aren’t always as they seem. In the same way, what you see on Instagram doesn’t always relay the reality of any situation. Oddly enough, a conversation sparked this thought chain and inspired me to put together a few Instagram vs reality looks. While I love getting dressed up, the reality isn’t always the case. I threw together a few looks so you can feel confident on dress up days and comfortable ones all the same. Doing the same thing you’d do in each of the paired outfits.
