I LOL at how much I overpacked the first (and even the second) time we went to the hospital to have a baby. As an upcoming third timer, here are things that I will absolutely be taking + my toiletries. If there’s any advice I can give you it’s to use what the hospital provides! I practically wear a nursing bra + robe + and my cutie adult diaper (IYKYK) the entire stay. Robe makes it easy to cover when you have guests, and easy to feed baby. Plus it’s just so much easier than having to get dressed each day lol. I’ll be packing one comfy going home outfit for myself bc, well we’re just going home and I want to be comfortable. Bring your pump (if you plan to breastfeed) to try and get as much colostrum for baby and help stimulate for milk supply! My second latched but it was weak so we had to use bottles. I didn’t originally bring my pump, so my husband went home and got it and I was able to feed him my colostrum. I can still remember my night nurse cheering me on during my middle of the night pump sessions and I was barely getting anything 😂 The fan is a must for me because hello night sweats and a blanket from home helps me to feel more relaxed.

Anyway, moral of my story here is to keep it simple! There’s not a lot that you will need, and the hospital provides practically everything postpartum care wise. 🤎
