Redefine Your Neutrals

Both the top and pants are from @ta3 these trousers fit so well and I love the quality of them, as well as the top with the signature corset feature 😍

Here’s some tips for redefining your neutrals:

- Question why you lean towards a particular color.

- Understand your undertones and what neutrals may actually work better with them.

- Try on colors with different undertones to really understand what works with you (try on off white then try on a crisp pure white to see which one looks better on you)

- Find shades that flatter your complexion. Think creamy ivories, warmer taupes, deep mochas, or even olive shades. Neutrals don’t have to be flat. They can be rich & dimensional.

Espresso Martini? Coming Right Up. ☕️🍸

It has pockets!! 😍 Styling this espresso brown maxi dress from @ta3 the sculpting corset detail snatches my waist and gives that hourglass look ⏳ layered a cropped trench over it to nod to the fall season.

I’ve been making a conscious effort to wear more browns as my neutral instead of opting for black. Brown is such a warm color and really meshes soo well with my undertones I’m loving this mocha inspired journey I’m on 😍✨

Do you have a lot of synthetic fabrics in your wardrobe? (It’s literally inevitable!) Well, this is the time to wear them. While polyester is lightweight. It is not as breathable so it tends to trap heat and make us feel warmer. Synthetic fabrics in the summertime can be too hot, so this “in between” fall weather is a good time to wear these fabrics as they can be light weight but trap body heat and warmth.

How to pack for a stylish vacation 🌴

It’s officially the season of flights not feelings and my only question is what are we wearing? Lol this was my approach to packing for my most recent vacation.

1. Come up with a theme.

2. Identify what pieces you already own.

3. Source pieces to fill in the gaps and create full outfits.

3. Roll your clothing up instead of folding the clothing so you minimize fold lines and also save space in your luggage.

4. Pack shoes, accessories, and outerwear that can work for multiple outfits.

5. Don’t forget to accessorize accessories of the items that are going to pull your looks together and make them feel more cohesive.

6. Don’t forget to pack your Satsuma swimwear. No vacation is complete without it.

7. The vacation starts when you leave your house to go to that airport. So make sure your airport outfit feels comfortable, but still cute.

8. Don’t forget to leave space in your luggage in case you shop at your new destination and want to bring back some items.

I always say this: If you don’t like getting dressed, you’re probably doing it wrong. If you’re focused on the outcome of that sharp eyeliner and not the experience of enhancing yourself, you absolutely are doing it wrong.

Adorning yourself should be fun! It should make you feel better, and add to the bliss of life. This is one of the many joys of being a woman. Embrace it.

Find what routine works for you. Rince & repeat.

LAYERING - One of my favorite ways to add interest to my outfits is with layering. A cute peplum top peeking out of a cropped trench jacket?! I love to see it 😍

SILHOUETTES - Make neutrals more fun with exciting silhouettes. Peplum top + crop trench coat + capri pants. These silhouettes make neutrals feel modern and fun.

PRINTS - Prints like zebra print, cow print, or snake prints are interesting but still lean towards that neutral color palette.

METALS - Bringing in metallics & metal with your jewelry & accessories. This will take your style to the next level. Gold anklet, gold heels, gold rings, gold earrings — they all add some spunk to the fit and make you want to give a second look. 😉
