✨Where do you put your glasses when you wear a wig? 🤓🤷🏼‍♀️✨

That’s a question I get on a regular basis, and it’s one that took me a while to find what works best for me, so I thought I’d share what works best for me.

The most secure and also most comfortable comfortable spot for me is to place the arms of my glasses between my wig grip and my wig. They are secure there, but not nearly as tight as they would be under the wig grip too. And with a little practice, you can do it completely by feel alone! 🙌🏻🤓❤️

I DID NOT DO ENOUGH RESEARCH!!

I did not know a single thing about wigs when I walked into a wig store back in 2009. I had done no research at all, just walked in and was talked into a basic cap short wig in an ashy color (which is totally wrong for me) and paid nearly $400 for it. Looking at photos from that time, it looked so wiggy, but I didn’t know any better and my hair loss had gotten to the point that seeing photos of myself made me cry.

I so wish I’d known these three things when I first started wearing wigs wayyy back in 2009:

🌺 There are different types of wig fibers: synthetic, heat-friendly synthetic, human hair, synthetic/human hair blends
🌺 Different types of wig caps: basic wefted, mono top, mono part, and handtied
🌺 Using a wig grip will keep your wig from moving all day! It won’t slide up in the back, it won’t blow off in the wind or on a roller coaster. It will stay exactly where you put it in the morning until you take it off at night.
