Barrel jeans already bring the volume. So everywhere else, you go slim. Three places people get this wrong:

1. The shoe. Chunky sneaker plus barrel jean means volume at the thigh and volume at the foot, so nothing balances. Pointed toe instead — flat, loafer, kitten heel.

2. The top. Oversized on top with volume on the bottom and your waist disappears. Go slim or tuck the front.

3. The jacket. A boxy jacket that ends where the pant is widest doubles everything up. Go cropped, or long and lean.
The jeans are already doing the most. Let them.
