35. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab :: 10/10⭐️ wow!! What a read! I couldn’t put this one down. Addie LaRue, desperate to get out of marrying a man and being trapped forever, makes a deal with the devil. It’s 1694, and Addie sees no way out. In a moment of desperation, she trades her soul to be free and tethered to no one, but freedom comes at a price and now no one remembers Addie, not even her own family. 300 years later Addie meets someone who changes her whole world- he remembers her. Although this book was quite sad and depressing at some points I just couldn’t get enough. It was so well written and just trapped me between its pages from the first chapter. There were lots of little nuggets of wisdom and it’s a book that really makes you think. Couldn’t recommend this enough.
