18. Slammed by Colleen Hoover :: 10/10⭐️. YES YES YES!!! Colleen Hoover has an amazing way about writing difficult/heavy topics, and this book did not disappoint! Layken Cohen, Lake for short, just moved from Texas to Michigan with her mom and brother following the unexpected death of her father. On her first day in her new state, her neighbor, 21 year old Will Cooper offers help with their moving boxes. Wills brother, Caulder and Lakes neither, Kel, become fast friends. But soon after Lake and Will meet they realize something that could put their entire relationship in jeopardy. Lake also has to learn to navigate her new life and grief and all the emotions she’s feeling. I don’t want to give too much away, but this book was amazing. Especially if you’re going thru grief. This coming from someone who hates books about grief. This was so well written and I could see it being very comforting.
