1- SmartThings Hub: (Intermediate) A great way to elevate the bits and pieces of smart home you currently have. The hub will allow you + your smart items to do more than ever before and interact in a way that will streamline your smart home. 2- Echo Dot 4th Gen: (Beginner/Expansion) The newest Echo Dot has some great upgrades including better sound + low power mode. This is the newest version of the Echo Dot with new upgrades so if you’re just starting out, wanting to expand or upgrade your voice assistants this is a great buy 3- GoSund Smart Plugs: (Beginner/Expansion) With these you’re able to control any plug ins from your voice via voice assistant or phone. These are great for lamps, holiday lights and so so much more. 4- Echo Dot 3rd Gen: (Beginner/Expansion) Just the slightly older sibling to the new 4th Gen dots, these smaller more discreet options are great for starting or expanding your voice assistant across your home. We plan on purchasing these to do just that as we move into a larger home. 5- SmartThings Motion Sensor: (Intermediate) While the sensor its self is not complicated, these sensors help you achieve automations which calls for a more intermediate familiarity with smart home tech. If you’re looking to automate lights or cameras (security) these are a great option. 6- Kasa Smart Power Strip: (Beginner/Expansion) Essentially the same as the single smart plugs, this allows multiple devices to be controlled from one power strip. For us, this is perfect in places like our bedroom (multiple lamps, lights during the holidays) or our living room (lamps, tv + other tech accessories). 7- Echo Show (10 in): (Beginner/Expansion) The Echo Dot meets a tablet allowing you to access just about anything you want on screen. We are planning on gifting these to family as they’re a great way to stay in touch while doing the things you love from afar, together.
