+...if i think a certain fashion item is cool or not. to which i try to respond with “i think those are cool for YOU” or, “those aren’t my style but that doesn’t mean it’s not cool.”

+ this is a friendly reminder that you don’t need anyone’s permission to wear that you think is “cool.” if you see something you like, just wear it. you don’t have to run it by the fashion IGs or magazines to see if that’s what in. cool is what you want it be.

+ im into fashion, but that doesn’t mean I’m the final judge on what’s “in” rn. i wear what i like bc I like it. i wasn’t always this way, but one “out there” fashion statement at a time, i started developing my own style & stopped asking a million people for opinions. (i still ask a few people sometimes). people might hate or make jokes (they have to me also) but usually those are people who wish they had the confidence to rock it like you.

why did i start a blog?

+ everyone has a blog, or everyone is an instagram influencer. those were my thoughts when i thought about launching a blog. which those things are pretty true, but with anything I’ve ever wanted to create, I’ve always asked myself, “how can i make this different than what’s already out there?”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
+ but when i asked God to give me direction on what to do with it, i felt like He said i didn’t have to reinvent the wheel of blogging, people like it for a reason. i just had to put my own taste on it.

+ He gave me the verses Phil. 1:29-30 with the phrase “in this together,” the words “authenticity & community,” & the plus sign as a symbol of positivity & bringing things together (which is why you see it in my captions/blog)

+ i don’t really know what I’m doing but He’s guiding me as i go (yes, God cares about things like this too). i have lots of ideas but my ultimate hope is that I’m always representing authenticity & bringing a sense of unity in my posts/writing where people can feel encouraged, challenged, & relate. with a little dash of fashion & beauty here & there 😉 SO, thank you for coming along for the ride.
